Originally from New Jersey, I moved to the Carolinas over 30 years ago where I raised my two children. Based initially in a small southern town, I used my creative and business skills to improve the homes of clients. By the time I moved to Charlotte, I had officially launched a company which specialized in interior and organizational design. My husband is a general contractor so it seemed only natural to obtain my real estate license in 2005 and soon after the children graduated from college (UNC and NC State), we relocated to Michigan where we developed and sold a wide range of real estate.
Alas, the heart called us home to the Carolinas where we live now live in Cary. I am the President of my HOA, love yoga, the beach, and believe it or not – hard work. My background in home design and construction and my knowledge of North Carolina as a whole has equipped me to help my clients find the home of their dreams. A little over five years ago, my husband, two young children and I relocated to Cary from Holden, Massachusetts. It was an adventure and process that I’ll never forget. After growing up in Massachusetts and moving to Boston after college, I had never set foot in North Carolina. But since then, I have fallen in love with the area, the people, the growth and of course the weather! Before relocating I was an Executive and personal assistant at a Boston hospitality group and before that a commercial real estate company. While working for the commercial real estate company I obtained my MA real estate license and helped with property management and residential sales.
As an Executive and personal assistant I perfected the art of loyalty, trust, timely communication and multitasking. Helping you and your family sell or buy a new home is a task that I no doubt look forward to helping you with. As exciting as that process can be, it can also be stressful and intimidating. In 2003, I joined the United States Marine Corps, which took me to both coasts and across the ocean. During this time, I learned the importance of clear, concise communication, and attention to detail in order to effectively deal with ambiguity. In 2012, I double majored in Business Management and Management Information Systems at Central Connecticut State University. For 5 years, I worked in the insurance industry focused on technology solutions; most recently fulfilling the role of Scrum Master to ensure transparency, collaboration, and quality as part of a delivery team. For me, buying a house was one of the most rewarding and satisfying adventures of my adult life. The culmination of all of my studying, hard work and saving had arrived and I didn’t know what to expect. I very quickly learned that the Realtor was the person on whom I would lean the most, turning my apprehension into excitement and happiness. In that moment I knew that I wanted to be that person who listens to people’s dreams and brings them to fruition. I knew that uniting families with the places they’d call home was my calling.
Born in Fort Meyers, FL, my family moved to North Carolina before I was able to walk. I grew up in Lillington and graduated from Harnett Central High School in 2008. While working in both service and retail to put myself through secondary education, I volunteered locally, coaching soft ball and working with Shriners to help children as auxiliary fund raising staff. Once I realized my calling, I immediately set out to become licensed to work in real estate.
